Langebaan Canoe Section at Westcoast Canoe Challenge

The annual Westcoast Canoe Challenge was held last Saturday  on the Berg River.

The Start and Finish was at the Riviera Hotel just over the bridge, with a turnaround bouy for the 10k route, and up and past Kliphoek Resort for the 20k route.

21 paddlers from LYC took part with 18 boats on the water (3 doubles), with good results for the club.

Adrian Ceruti – 3^rd place in the 20k Mens surfski
Helena Geromont – 2^nd place in the 20k Ladies Vet
Isabella Hart – 3^rd place in the 20k Ladies Vet
Dave and Caryn Warmerdam – 2^nd place in the 20k surfski Doubles
Marc and Juanita Ambler – 3^rd place in the 20k surfski Doubles
